The question we all ask ourselves when we don't know much about makeup, right? Thousands of people tell you so many products and brands that they only create more confusion.
In my experience, every need is different. I think women should know their skin type and start from there.
On the other hand, when it comes to a makeup routine, you can start simple. To do that, I'll give you a list of what I consider essential.
1. Face cream: It's vital for making your makeup last longer and adhere better. When I realized that my skin always needed to be hydrated and moisturized, I stopped skimping and bought a cream that was gentle on my face. At that moment, I stopped suffering from breakouts and my makeup stopped looking cakey.
2. Lip balm: Even if you don't wear makeup, this always helps protect your lips, and many even have a little color, which you can apply like blush; this will make your skin look brighter.
3. Setting powder: This will help reduce and mattify our complexion. It doesn't matter if we're not wearing makeup; a little bit of powder makes all the difference.
4. Blush: It can be your favorite shade. There are so many tricks, but I especially like to use a pinky-orange blush with shimmer, whether to highlight my cheeks, create a lifting effect, use it as an eyeshadow, or even to create a natural contour.
5. Bronzer: We all know that bronzer is so beautiful🤩 because it looks like you went to the beach. I personally love Physicians Formula because they smell so good and feel high-end 🙈🙈 They come in so many finishes and so many uses, and I think that's an extra treat we give ourselves within our basics🥰✨
6. Neutral eyeshadow palette: Let's be honest, these days, even those who claim to not even wear makeup have worn eyeshadow at least once in their lives. And to be even more honest, a palette with these shades probably has a brown color you can use to further define your brows and fill in those gaps.
7. Waterproof mascara: This is a must-have. You can go swimming or exercise, and your lashes will look intact and your eyes will pop.
8. A medium-coverage concealer: I especially tell my clients to choose a shade that matches their skin tone, so I can correct those marks or hide dark circles without having to cover their entire face.
I could make a longer list, but I think points 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 are the ones we all have, and the fact is that most of us work, have a business, or simply like to look neat and pamper ourselves.
Several of these points have more than one use and benefit🙈 , do you want to know some?
I've always believed that beauty is subjective, and the amount of makeup we use depends on our personal tastes. There are no rules, but tips often help.
‼️Don't forget to always take care of your face and use quality, original products. It's important to always know the source, but that's another topic we'll discuss later.
And you, what products do you consider essential in a makeup routine? 👀👸💄
Thank you for joining me another day ✨ 🥰
