Every day we face the great dilemma: what should I do and what shouldn't I do with my face?
I'll start with what I advise you NOT TO DO 😱
I'll tell you that in my inexperienced days, I tried everything. Aloe vera, hydrogen peroxide, onion, honey, potatoes, eggs, thousands of ointments, and excessive exfoliation only irritated and dehydrated my skin in ways you can't imagine. My inexperience and insecurity led me to try all the bad things without first consulting an expert and getting to know my skin.
Don't forget to use a cream that's appropriate for your skin type either. I realized that creams with a perfume scent, and those that my skin absorbs very quickly, didn't last long in my case and made my face burn horribly.
On the other hand, I advise you that it will always help to know your skin so that you don't even have pimples.
Wash your face at least twice a day. This will help remove the dirt that accumulates throughout the day, allowing your skin to rest and breathe better.
Wash your makeup brushes once a week to prevent makeup buildup and prevent your skin from suffering the consequences.
Change your makeup when its shelf life has passed. Many of us don't realize it, but each product can last a certain amount of time once opened; powders generally last longer than other products. We'll have a separate article on this topic, but to start, if the scent and texture aren't the same as when they were new, then it's time to replace them.
These are some tips that have helped me, and I've often learned the consequences at a cost. Don't skimp on your well-being or put yourself in second place. You don't need to spend exorbitant amounts to have a conscious and appropriate routine to start taking care of yourself for your skin type.
What's one piece of advice you've learned about your skincare routine that you could share with us?
Thank you for being here another Sunday, I send you a hug.
